Privacy policy

1. Scope and browsing data

This policy applies to themodelatlas.com and its directory pages. The Model Atlas is an independent directory of third-party AI tools; it does not operate those tools or process prompts on their behalf.

The directory currently has no user accounts, payment forms, file uploads, or newsletter sign-ups. Our search and filter code runs locally in your browser and does not call an AI model.

Search terms and filters appear in the page URL so that a view can be shared or reopened. Those URLs may remain in your browser history and may be included in a request when you open, refresh, or share a page. Avoid entering personal or confidential information in directory search.

2. Analytics and browser storage

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits and page performance. Reports include page views, referring sites, device and browser categories, and loading metrics. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first: it does not use analytics cookies or track people across websites.

The directory’s own code does not use cookies or local storage to save a visitor profile or search history. Cloudflare may separately process request information or use security mechanisms to operate and protect the website. Visitor counters

The sidebar estimates unique browsers over the last 30 days and links to a visitor statistics page showing the last seven days. Each range includes today and uses UTC calendar dates. A browser visiting on several days counts once in the range total, so daily counts should not be added together. Monthly counting and daily tracking began on 29 September 2026; earlier visits are not included. These counters are separate from Cloudflare Web Analytics and are not exact counts of people.

To avoid counting repeat page loads, we store a random identifier in your browser's local storage and send it with the current date to our Cloudflare-hosted database. We record at most one entry per browser per UTC day. The counter does not save IP addresses, page paths, or search terms. The browser identifier is renewed after 30 days of inactivity. Daily records outside the 30-day window and old monthly identifiers are removed when a new visit is registered; monthly aggregate totals may be retained. Cloudflare may retain recovery copies under its database backup practices.

Known automated user agents are excluded, but some automation may still be counted. Different browsers, devices, hostnames, or cleared storage can count separately. When browser storage is blocked, Global Privacy Control is enabled, or Do Not Track is set, our counter displays totals without registering a visit. You can remove the identifier through your browser's site-storage controls.

3. Hosting, fonts, and external websites

Cloudflare: our hosting, content delivery, DNS, security, and analytics provider receives technical request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, and timestamps, as needed to deliver and protect the site. Its processing and retention are described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Google Fonts: the site loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts. Your browser sends network requests to Google to retrieve its font stylesheet and font files, which can disclose technical information such as your IP address and browser details. See Google Fonts’ FAQ and Google’s Privacy Policy.

External tools: clicking a provider or source link takes you to a separate website. Its own privacy policy governs any accounts, prompts, uploads, payments, or other information you provide there. Logos are served from our site; loading a logo does not itself send a request to that tool’s website.

4. Use, sharing, and retention

We use site metrics to understand which pages are useful, improve performance, and identify technical problems. We do not sell visitor information or use it for targeted advertising. We do not maintain a directory account database or a server-side search-history database.

Technical information is handled by the service providers described above under their own retention practices, and may be processed in countries other than your own. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law. We do not promise a fixed retention period for records controlled by those providers.

5. Your choices

You can manage browser history and storage, use browser privacy controls, and choose whether to follow external links. Blocking font or analytics requests should not prevent you from browsing the directory, although fonts or performance reporting may differ.

Depending on where you live and the information involved, applicable law may provide rights concerning your personal information. This policy does not limit those rights. For information handled directly by an external tool or service provider, consult that provider’s privacy notice and request channels.

6. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. If we add features that collect information directly, we will describe that collection here before using those features.
